On the occasion of the launch of the premiere season of the world's first LNG cruise ship AIDAnova, the two sister ships were sent off last night from Santa Cruz de Tenerife with a festive fireworks display.

AIDAnova, the youngest member of the AIDA fleet, set course for Fuerteventura as part of her seven-day Christmas journey. AIDAcara, the first ship of the AIDA family, is currently on a 14-day Selection journey around the Canary Islands and the Azores.
