The countdown is on: One of the world's most beautiful cruise festivals will take place this weekend. AIDA Cruises will be the premium partner of this year's Hamburg Cruise Days pur. The highlight of the weekend is the staging on Saturday evening, 20 August 2022. AIDAprima will be part of an impressive multimedia show in front of the Überseebrücke/by the Landungsbrücken, the "Pas de deux on Blue", starting at 10:30 pm. The ship will leave its berth in Steinwerder in time to get into position between the Elbphilharmonie and Überseebrücke at around 10pm. Spectators will be treated to an unprecedented 20-minute performance of light, music and images. Afterwards, AIDAprima and its guests, who will experience the spectacle up close on board, will head up the Elbe and embark on a 7-day Norway cruise from/to Hamburg.
On Sunday, 21 August, AIDAsol will be visiting Cruise Center Altona from 08:00 to 18:00 and, as with every call, will connect to the shore power system. The ship will set off in the evening from/to Hamburg for a 12-day cruise via England, France and Spain.
On all three event days, those interested in cruises can find inspiration for their next dream holiday in the AIDA Holiday World at Kehrwiederspitze. The AIDA travel consultants will provide information about the most beautiful holidays with the AIDA ships. When visiting an original veranda cabin of AIDAcosma, visitors can catch a glimpse of their future home on board. A large roof terrace and sun loungers in the Beach Club with a view of Hamburg harbour invite you to relax. The physical well-being is also catered for: AIDA gourmet patron Felicitas Then will spoil guests with culinary delicacies from her food truck, while trendy drinks at the Beach Bar will provide cool refreshment. All proceeds from the food truck and the beach bar will be donated to the sustainability initiative AIDA Cruise & Help. The presenters of AIDAradio will also be live on site and guarantee good musical entertainment and exciting talks on AIDA's own stage. Many surprises for big and small cruise fans will whet the appetite for more.
In addition, a new hands-on quiz awaits visitors to the large, inviting AIDA action area, namely a sustainability rally. Participants have to find five different stations marked with a specific QR code and answer questions on various sustainability topics. These include, for example, topics such as technology, resource-saving water consumption and plastic avoidance on board. The prize is a travel voucher worth 3,000 euros.

With 120 calls and nine AIDA cruise ships this year, AIDA Cruises is once again an important economic factor for the Hanseatic city and an attraction for many Hamburg residents and guests alike. AIDAsol kicked off the 12-month AIDA season on the Elbe on 7 January 2022, and AIDAprima will end it with a call on 29 December 2022.
