AIDAluna and AIDAprima form prelude to the Kieler Week

On Saturday, September 4, 2021, the 127th Kieler Week will start with AIDA Cruises as sponsoring event partner. The focus of the world's largest sailing event this year is on the waterside program. Highlights include a total of five ship calls of the AIDA fleet as well as the spectacular light and fireworks show with AIDAluna presented by AIDA Cruises on the last day of the event.

Fittingly for tomorrow's kick-off, AIDAprima is expected at the Ostseekai from 8:00 to 18:00. For cruise fans both on land and on board, there will be wonderful impressions, especially when leaving the Kiel Fjord. Until October 23, 2021, AIDAprima will depart from Kiel every Saturday on seven-day Baltic Sea voyages to Copenhagen, Visby on the island of Gotland, and Stockholm.

The following day, on September 5, 2021, AIDAluna will celebrate her restart. The ship has already arrived in the port of Kiel yesterday to make the final preparations for the first guests on board. AIDAluna is already the seventh ship in the AIDA fleet to set off on voyages again in the 2021 season. Guests of the 4-day “Ahoy Tour” from Kiel, starting on September 12, 2021, will enjoy a very special treat: AIDAluna will be the star guest of the impressive closing show for Kiel Week 2021. At around 9:00 p.m., the ship will move into position. From approx. 21:21 o'clock then the 20-minute light production starts in form of a drone show as well as an accompanying light and laser show.

Up to October 14, 2021, there will be a wide variety of travel dates for three- and four-day “Ahoy Tours” from Kiel on board AIDAluna available. Guests can expect a diverse vacation program on board, from varied wellness packages to rousing entertainment and culinary highlights. The restaurants offer menus from all over the world as well as selected Scandinavian delicacies. A new gastronomic highlight on board AIDAluna is the specialty restaurant "Best Pizza @Sea" on deck 11, where guests can enjoy typical Italian cuisine. The "Best Pizza @Sea" seats 80 guests and will also be gradually introduced on board AIDAbella and AIDAdiva.
