During the Oktoberfest period this year, the top musical acts Münchener Freiheit and voXXclub will provide exciting entertainment on board AIDAprima and AIDAperla.
Just in time to mark the official start of the Oktoberfest on September 21, 2019 in Munich, AIDAprima will set sail from the German port of Kiel. On the seven-day cruise around the Baltic Sea, vacationers keen to party will find interesting and varied Oktoberfest events every day, featuring voXXclub and the Oktoberfest band Rotzlöffl. When the great entertainers burst onto the stage with their popular music hits, plenty of fun is guaranteed.
“O’ zapft is” will also be the motto on AIDAperla from September 28, 2019. Also on board during the Oktoberfest cruise will be the cult German band Münchener Freiheit. With its legendary songs such as “Ohne Dich (schlaf‘ ich heut Nacht nicht ein)”, they have captured people’s hearts for several generations. The crowd will really enjoy dancing and singing along to their classics and new hits. The passionate musicians of Dick & Durstig will also create a great atmosphere on the beer benches with their party music.
AIDA will offer a varied schedule for guests on board with many brewery promotions such as “Oktoberfest fun,” “Alpenglow” and the family day. Arm wrestling, eating Weißwurst and yodeling will ensure that it is not just dyed-in-the-wool Oktoberfest fans who are in the mood to party.
There will also be plenty of hearty Bavarian culinary fare on offer with pork knuckle, potato dumplings, sausage salad or brewery cold cuts. The beer will be freshly tapped from the on-board brewery – brewed with sea water in accordance with the German Beer Purity Law. For all beer lovers, it is well worth having a look behind the scenes at the brewery. The brewing seminar features a guided tour and beer tasting with snacks, and also offers a brewery certificate.
As well as the traditional dishes, the AIDA gourmet patrons on board will also serve up other specialties for guests. World-champion pastry chef Andrea Schirmaier-Huber will be on board AIDAprima and will decorate gingerbread hearts to suit guests’ tastes, conjure up breathtaking desserts in the Rossini gourmet restaurant, and cook typical specialties from her Bavarian homeland for and with the guests.
TV star and top chef Stefan Marquard will set his sights on the cities of London and Paris with AIDAperla. Guests can look forward to tempting menus served at the Rossini gourmet restaurant, cooking workshops, talks and cooking demonstrations from the passionate chef.
AIDAprima will set sail from/to Kiel from September 21 to 28, 2019, on a seven-day Oktoberfest cruise on the Baltic Sea. The Oktoberfest fans on board AIDAperla will sail from September 28 to October 5, 2019, from/to Hamburg to the finest major cities of Western Europe.
